Thad Wolfe is an experienced and proven executive with expertise in executive leadership, strategic and business planning, change management, business development, public speaking, and nuclear security and planning. He is currently the owner of Polaris Results, LLC which provides governance and process support offerings to government and military services, as well as to selected industry clients.
Prior to starting his own business, Mr. Wolfe served as Practice Leader for the USAF at Thomas Group, Inc., primarily responsible for raising Air Force awareness of TGI to generate business growth centered on improved performance at reduced costs.
From 1999 to 2007, Mr. Wolfe filled a variety of positions for SAIC, most notably as Senior VP and Corporate Account Manager for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). He was responsible for expanding business, maintaining quality and fostering a trusted advisor relationship. He also served as General Manager for the Enterprise Security Solutions Business Unit, a 600 person, $100M revenue organization which provided enterprise security physical and cyber solutions to government and commercial clients.
As CEO of Western Research Institute, Mr. Wolfe focused on strategic planning, improved business practices, client base expansion, and the enabling of technology transfer and business incubation. And as CEO of International Youth Institute, Inc., he focused on training staff serving adjudicated “at risk” youth.
Mr. Wolfe also served as Executive VP for Browning Resources U.S., a natural resources company with real estate, mining and refinery operations.
Mr. Wolfe completed military service as a Lt. General and Vice Commander of Air Combat Command having served in a variety of line and staff positions including flying, intelligence, development engineering, joint and other agency assignments. Mr. Wolfe has been heavily involved with several outside boards, to include the Retired Officers Association, the Air Force Association’s Veterans and Retirees Council, the Western Research Institute, where he also led the Policy, Nominations and Governance Committee, and the Ruckelshaus Institute for Environment and Natural Resources Research and Policy. He is currently on the Board of World Energy Solutions serving on Audit and Compensation committees, as well as on the Boards of Advisors for Watermark Risk Management, LLC and NanoVapor.
